Attending Lilly’s Beyond the Curve Obesity Treatment Symposium

The doctors reviewed the latest clinical evidence on Mounjaro and strategies for maintaining weight loss over time.

Dr. Soyoun Koo and Dr. Chang-Hwan Cho attended Lilly’s Beyond the Curve: START & STAY symposium in the Grand Ballroom at Grand Hyatt Seoul on June 17, 2026. The program explored current evidence on Mounjaro® and long-term weight management. Mounjaro is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist; the discussion covered its effects on appetite, satiety, blood glucose and energy metabolism in the context of weight loss.

The symposium considered obesity care beyond initial weight loss, including weight maintenance and metabolic health. Presentations reviewed Mounjaro’s mechanism, clinical weight-loss findings and evidence on sustaining results. Speakers emphasized that obesity is a chronic condition requiring ongoing management and treatment tailored to the individual.
