JUVÉLOOK in Apgujeong, Gangnam, SeoulPDLLA and hyaluronic acid collagen booster · VAIM

JUVÉLOOK smooths texture, refines pores and restores volume by combining PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) particles with hyaluronic acid: HA hydrates right away, then PDLLA steadily builds new collagen. We use JUVÉLOOK for texture, pores and fine lines, JUVÉLOOK Volume for lost volume, and JUVÉLOOK Eye around the eyes.

JUVÉLOOK is a collagen booster developed by VAIM in Korea and launched in 2019. Each vial combines biodegradable PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) microparticles with non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. It is authorized by Korea's MFDS as a tissue-repair material.

HA immediately adds moisture, while soft, round, porous PDLLA particles remain in the dermis and stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. The range includes JUVÉLOOK for texture, pores and fine lines, JUVÉLOOK Volume for deeper volume, and JUVÉLOOK Eye for the eye area. Your doctor chooses by area and concern.

Smoother texture, softer lines and restored volume

Texture and pores

Smooths rough texture and makes enlarged pores visibly less noticeable. New dermal collagen supports the skin around pores from within.

Fine lines

Thickens thinner skin and softens fine lines. PDLLA particles stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin.

Hydration and radiance

Skin feels hydrated immediately. HA holds water, allowing you to notice a change before new collagen develops.

Volume

Naturally restores fullness to hollow cheeks, temples and nasolabial folds. JUVÉLOOK Volume is distributed broadly in deeper layers to gradually increase subcutaneous tissue thickness.

Under the eyes

Brightens and firms hollow, dark-looking under-eyes. JUVÉLOOK Eye, with a lower particle content, is used carefully in this thin-skinned area.

Indented scars

Gradually raises the base of indented acne scars. New collagen beneath the scar supports the hollow area.

Collagen-boosting care, planned by your doctor
Care from a doctor who has published on PDLLA mechanisms

Results from a collagen booster depend on how treatment is planned and performed. We take time with every patient. A doctor handles your consultation and performs your treatment personally.

  1. Planned by a doctor who has published research comparing collagen stimulators

Dr. Chang-Hwan Cho was first author of a 2026 Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology review comparing six collagen biostimulators, including JUVÉLOOK's PDLLA as well as PLLA, PDO, CaHA and PCL.

  2. Teaching PDLLA techniques internationally

At the 2026 Korea–China international conference in Xi'an, he lectured on using PLLA, PDLLA and liquid PCL for facial volume loss after rapid weight reduction.

  3. Different products for different layers and areas

One face may need JUVÉLOOK Volume in deeper layers, HILO WAVE for skin quality and JUVÉLOOK Eye around the eyes. Your doctor leads the consultation and selects each product according to the skin's condition.

Smoother, fresher-looking skin: patient experiences

The recommendation after my skin assessment was spot on!

Dr. Soyoun Koo examined my skin carefully and said JUVÉLOOK Volume seemed the better option for me. I went ahead, and I'm really happy with the result! I'd only had Rejuran before, so I hesitated a little. This experience reminded me why it helps to listen to the doctor's advice, haha.
★★★★★

People say my face looks fresher

I had JUVÉLOOK today for the second time, after my first session last month. People have been telling me my face looks fresher. The doctor was thorough, and the staff were friendly :)

My makeup goes on more evenly

After JUVÉLOOK, I initially had slight swelling and small raised marks, which worried me a little. Once the visible marks settled, my makeup seemed to go on more evenly. It isn't a major change yet, but my skin feels less dry and the texture looks a little smoother.

Less dryness and less patchy makeup

During JUVÉLOOK treatment, the pain wasn't as strong as I'd expected. Afterward, some areas felt firm and slightly swollen, but they gradually became less visible. My skin is less dry and my makeup sits better. Texture is the first change I've noticed.

How this collagen booster works
Your doctor explains how it works

How does this booster stimulate collagen? HA supplies hydration first, followed by PDLLA-driven collagen production. A doctor who has published on PDLLA selects the injection layer and amount.

Illustration of the skin and underlying tissue
  1. Hydration

HA immediately replenishes moisture within the skin.

  2. Particle distribution

Round, porous PDLLA particles settle evenly in the dermis and subcutaneous layer.

  3. Fibroblast stimulation

Fibroblasts around the particles become active and produce collagen and elastin.

  4. Collagen formation

PDLLA gradually breaks down, and new collagen fills its place.

Our approach

We layer JUVÉLOOK Volume in deeper tissue for volume with HILO WAVE above it for skin quality. Around the eyes, where too much HA may produce a blue tint known as the Tyndall effect, we combine JUVÉLOOK Eye with HILO WAVE.

Fresher skin before an important date
Treatment timed around your plans

From actors preparing for filming to patients planning a wedding or presentation, many people visit us ahead of an important date. Your doctor plans the timing and combination of treatments around your facial features and schedule.

If your event is tomorrow

Leave enough time before your event for small bumps and redness from the injections to settle. If the date is very close, your doctor may recommend treatments with no downtime instead.

If your event is a month away

We work backward from your event date to plan a course of treatment around this collagen booster. Our broad range of devices lets us choose a combination that suits your face.

Collagen booster FAQ: comfort, side effects and results
Answers from our doctors

How do I choose a JUVÉLOOK clinic in Apgujeong, Gangnam, Seoul?

JUVÉLOOK results depend on how treatment is planned and performed. Check whether a doctor handles consultation and treatment, whether genuine products and equipment are used, and whether treatments can be combined to suit your face. We take time with every patient, with a doctor leading your consultation and performing treatment personally.

Is JUVÉLOOK a skin booster or a filler?

It differs from an HA filler that immediately adds volume in one place. JUVÉLOOK first hydrates with HA, then its PDLLA particles gradually stimulate your own collagen. When volume restoration is the goal, we use JUVÉLOOK Volume, which has a higher particle content.

How do JUVÉLOOK, JUVÉLOOK Volume and JUVÉLOOK Eye differ?

They contain the same types of PDLLA and HA in different amounts and are used in different areas. JUVÉLOOK treats full-face texture, pores and fine lines. JUVÉLOOK Volume is placed deeper in hollow cheeks, temples and nasolabial folds. JUVÉLOOK Eye is used for thin skin around the eyes. Your doctor may use different products in different areas of the same face.

When will I see results, and when should I compare photos?

HA gives an immediate sense of hydration, while collagen-related changes develop over several weeks. Research on pores and texture found clear improvement at 12 weeks. Comparing photos two to three months after the treatment course gives a more useful picture than judging immediately.

How long does JUVÉLOOK last, and how often should I have it?

The manufacturer describes results lasting around 12 months for JUVÉLOOK and 1.5–2 years for JUVÉLOOK Volume. An initial course often consists of 2–3 sessions, 4 weeks apart. Your doctor then recommends maintenance according to your skin.

How does JUVÉLOOK differ from Rejuran?

Rejuran contains PN, or polynucleotides, to support the skin's repair environment. JUVÉLOOK uses PDLLA particles to directly stimulate collagen. Your doctor chooses according to whether hydration and repair or density and volume are the main priorities.

How does JUVÉLOOK Volume differ from Sculptra?

Both restore volume through collagen stimulation. Sculptra uses PLLA particles, while JUVÉLOOK Volume combines PDLLA particles with HA. Dr. Chang-Hwan Cho compared both in a published review of six collagen stimulators, and he selects the product for each face and area.

What are the discomfort and downtime like?

Multiple injections into the dermis can sting or ache, so we apply numbing cream first. Downtime is usually short: small injection bumps and redness generally settle within 1–2 days. With JUVÉLOOK Volume, swelling and bruising may last a few days longer.

Can JUVÉLOOK cause side effects or nodules?

Temporary swelling, bruising and redness can occur and usually settle naturally. Nodules are more likely when particles concentrate in one place, so your doctor places small amounts evenly at multiple points and maintains the planned depth. Avoid firm rubbing afterward and contact the clinic promptly if a lump persists.

How are JUVÉLOOK and JUVÉLOOK Volume priced?

The cost depends on the product (JUVÉLOOK, Volume or Eye), the number of vials and sessions, and any accompanying treatments such as HILO WAVE. We discuss pricing after your doctor determines the areas and amount needed.

What do patients mention in JUVÉLOOK reviews?

Some describe being pleased with JUVÉLOOK Volume after their doctor carefully assessed their skin and recommended it. Others report that people noticed a fresher appearance after their second session.
