How long is recovery after acne scar laser treatment?
Recovery depends on scar depth and the laser used. JOULE ProFractional takes about 30 minutes after topical anesthesia, with redness lasting one to two days and makeup usually possible after 24 hours. UltraPulse, used for deeper depressed scars, produces crusts that take around six days to shed.
What if I have both melasma and redness?
M22 uses interchangeable filters to treat pigmentation, redness and visible vessels with one system. For pigment at different depths, your doctor may also use Discovery PICO's 532 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths.
How should I care for my skin after Reepot treatment?
Keep the DuoDERM dressing on for around two weeks. If it starts lifting, place a larger dressing over it rather than peeling it off. Sun protection and moisturizing are also essential.
Can stretch marks be treated?
Yes. Because a single treatment has its limits, we combine approaches to address scarring, firmness, pigmentation and skin renewal. Redness or bruising may last for one to two weeks afterward.
How does melasma differ from freckles, and how is it treated?
Freckles and lentigines are small, well-defined areas of pigment that often respond well to lasers. We use Reepot to treat these in a limited number of sessions. Melasma is more diffuse, influenced by UV exposure and hormones, and prone to darkening again. Your doctor first assesses your skin, then discusses suitable laser treatment and ongoing care. Other pigmentation concerns also start with a diagnosis.
How do you treat depressed acne scars and enlarged, scarred pores?
We choose the laser according to each scar's shape and depth. JOULE ProFractional allows the treatment depth to be adjusted, while UltraPulse delivers fine, deep columns of CO2 laser energy. Your doctor may use different lasers for different scars or combine them when appropriate.
