China–Korea Summit in Xi’an: Lecture on Facial Aging Associated with GLP-1 Treatment

At the 2026 New World Forum, Dr. Cho discussed PLLA, PDLLA and liquid PCL collagen stimulators for facial volume loss following rapid weight loss, often called “Ozempic face.”

Dr. Chang-Hwan Cho spoke at the 2026 New World Forum · China–Korea International Summit in Xi’an, China, on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The meeting brought Korean and Chinese doctors together to share research and clinical experience in aesthetic, anti-aging and regenerative medicine. Dr. Cho’s lecture was titled “Collagen Stimulators for GLP-1 Agonist Associated Facial Aging – PLLA, PDLLA, Liquid Type PCL.”

The presentation examined “Ozempic face,” a term used to describe facial volume loss, laxity and aging changes that can accompany rapid weight loss. Dr. Cho discussed strategies addressing the extracellular matrix (ECM) and collagen remodeling as well as volume. He compared the properties and mechanisms of PLLA, PDLLA and liquid PCL, and shared his views on staged combination treatments tailored to facial aging patterns and tissue condition. The session offered an opportunity to exchange current clinical experience with Korean and Chinese colleagues.
